Carlsberg Group and the COVID-19 outbreak

Following the COVID-19 outbreak, the last few weeks and months have been challenging for everyone.

A virus that started in a province in China has gradually engulfed most parts of the world, and the outbreak is causing severe global disruption. This is an unprecedented situation, and everyone is being affected in one way or another.

In the face of a health crisis unlike any other in our lifetime, Carlsberg Group urges everyone across geographies and borders, including employees, customers, and consumers, to collaborate and work together.

“Our thoughts are with our employees, our customers and everyone else for whom coronavirus has severe consequences,” Carlsberg Group CEO Cees ’t Hart said at the Annual General Meeting at New Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 16 March.

“We are following the development on a daily – well, almost hourly – basis, and we are of course adjusting to instructions and recommendations issued by the authorities in each of our markets at all times."

Cees ’t Hart added that, as always, the health and safety of our colleagues is main priority, but emphasis is also put on how to “mitigate the challenges and risks the best possible way”.

Please take care of yourselves, your colleagues, friends, and family and maintain a positive and constructive attitude, as this is what will get us through this difficult time – together!
