Accompanied by four Danish ministers and a large business delegation, HM The Queen and HRH The Crown Prince visited Germany to celebrate the strong ties and trade relationship between Denmark and Germany. Carlsberg was represented at the event to discuss our sustainability efforts.
Germany and Denmark are linked not only as neighboring countries by their geographical proximity, but also by a long and close partnership. As early as 1974, HRH Queen Margrethe made her first state visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
This year's Danish state visit to Berlin and Munich marked another positive high point for the good German-Danish relations.
Carlsberg Group was actively represented by our VP of Corporate Affairs, Christian Wulff Søndergaard, who participated in various program items such as round tables and panel discussions on Carlsberg’s actions to become more sustainable.
The main topics covered were our sustainability strategy Together Towards Zero and our actions towards brewing for a better today and tomorrow. Carlsberg also got the exclusive opportunity to present our sustainable Green Fibre Bottle to HRH the Danish Crown Prince Frederik in Berlin and to talk to him directly about sustainability at Carlsberg.
