A new analysis by Implement Consulting Group provides a consolidated view of the Carlsberg Family’s societal contribution in Denmark from 2020 to 2024.

Building on the legacy of J.C. Jacobsen and Carl Jacobsen, the Carlsberg Family today brings together a global brewing group, three philanthropic foundations, two internationally recognised museums, a cultural attraction and a pioneering research laboratory. Alongside Carlsberg Group, it includes the Carlsberg Laboratory, Frederiksborg - Museum of National History, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and Home of Carlsberg, as well as the Carlsberg Foundation, the New Carlsberg Foundation and the Tuborg Foundation.

Together, these activities span brewing, research, innovation, art, culture and philanthropy - all rooted in a shared belief in contributing to society.

Among other findings, the analysis shows that:

• The foundations in the Carlsberg Family awarded more than DKK 5 billion to societal purposes over five years. Almost 70% was granted to research, strengthening the foundation for innovation and future growth.
• In 2024, the Carlsberg Family’s activities supported a total of 7,900 jobs in Denmark.

From 2020 to 2024, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Frederiksborg and Home of Carlsberg welcomed more than 2.8 million visitors.The report offers a broader picture of how the Carlsberg Family continues to contribute to society through business, research, culture and philanthropy.
