Carlsberg Sverige has its headquarters in Stockholm, with a brewery in Falkenberg producing beer, soft drinks, cider and RTD, Nya Carnegiebryggeriet, a sister craft brewery in Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm and a water bottling facility in Ramlösa.
Carlsberg brands have been imported to Sweden for decades and have been produced locally since 1996 when Carlsberg took over the Falcon Brewery from Unilever. In 2001, Carlsberg and Orkla merged all brewing activities, bringing Pripps Ringnes and Falcon into the same group.
Carlsberg Sverige is the leading beverage company in the country, producing and selling brands such as Carlsberg, Falcon, Pripps Blå, Ramlösa, Pepsi and Festis. Additionally the company has a portfolio of third party products with strong international brands, such as Guinness, Staropramen and Brooklyn.
In 2014, Carlsberg Sverige teamed up with Brooklyn Brewery and a group of free investors, to launch a new craft brewery and beer temple in the south seaside of Stockholm called 'Nya Carnegiebryggeriet.' The brewery is a small craft brewery and restaurant that combines old beer traditions with new and innovative.
